Finance & Parish Support

The Diocesan Finance Department is split into two teams - Accounting & Services.
Each team is responsible for its own area of work, as well as working closely together to provide support and services to parishes and the Diocese.



The Accounting Team is responsible for the day to day transactional work of the Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF). 
We record income and expenditure, process payments and provide regular management reports to the DBF and advisory groups.
We also prepare annual statutory financial statements, the Diocesan Budget and maintain the Risk Register.

The Services Team is responsible for two main areas of work: 
We collect data for parish share calculations, produce annual share requests and work with Area Teams in share management.
We provide support services to parishes including payroll, book-keeping, accounts preparation and independent examination.
We offer advice and support to help parishes comply with the reporting regulations required.
