Talking about the 'e' word

On Thursday March 28, Leeds Diocese are running a special training day at St Peter’s Church, Gildersome called 'Talking about the 'E' Word'. By 'E' word we actually mean evangelism word.

For so many in the church today, evangelism can be a scary concept and difficult to apply to our everyday lives. Therefore, this day aims to inspire and equip all involved in evangelism within the church.

It will be lead by the Revd Canon Robin Gamble (Bishop's Adviser for Church Growth), Revd Canon Sophie Jelley (Diocese of Durham) and Revd Matt Woodcock (Diocese of York). They will help those attending think about the four basic skills and pieces of ministry involved in this great work:

1. Scattering seeds

2. Personal one to one

3. Running and presenting at evangelistic events

4. Organising an inquirers’ group
